Howard R. Jean is the Founder and CEO of Black Meta Agency, the nation's only award-winning technology firm fusing virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and experiential marketing to revolutionize workforce development for underrepresented communities. Since launching in April 2022, BMA has empowered over 250,00 people nationwide and is on a mission to impact 1,000,000 Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in emerging tech careers.
Pioneering America's first VR Dental Hygiene Training Lab through a groundbreaking partnership with Community College of Baltimore County, NYU School of Dentistry, and Swedish tech firm Gleechi Technology from connections made at CIAA Tech House. In 2025, They launched the HBCU Web3, VC & Tech Tour, where million-dollar tech founders hit campuses alongside live music, giving away cryptocurrency to every student and faculty member at schools like Voorhees University. And just last spring, Howard surprised thousands at Washington, DC's McKinley Tech High School's 2025 commencement at American University—delivering the keynote speech, then dropping $100,000 in tech resources, merchandise, and training as a gift to graduates.
Today, BMA continues the momentum with signature events like AI Vibes and Brunch & Build, where founders build apps and install automation tools over drinks, food, and beats.
Howard's journey from South Carolina educator, radio talk show host, and basketball coach to a cybersecurity consultant / business professional is nothing short of extraordinary.
These endeavors have earned him recognition as a 2023 Power 50 Under 40 by US Black Chambers (sponsored by Walmart), the 2024 Champion of the Culture Award from The Gathering Spot, and the 2025 STEM Leader of the Year with NexxtOne Academy.
Howard serves as Events Chair and co-founder of the Greater Washington Black Chamber of Commerce, co-chairs the Engineering and Technology Hub at Universities at Shady Grove where, in -partnership with STEAM Your Dreams, has served over 1,000 in E-gaming, and STEM from Baltimore Parks and Rec to Montgomery Parks and Recreation through Ocean Bowl Games.
His media presence spans The Oprah Winfrey Show, Tavis Smiley Show, Black Enterprise, Essence, Miami Herald, PBS, NBC, FOX, and NPR from earned only media.
